Created this homemade Ronald McDonald Halloween costume idea with the help of my grandma (whose excellent at sewing). We purchased the fabric needed for the costume at a local fabric store. She sewed the costume up to my body dimensions starting with the yellow main part first working outward going to the sleeves and then fake pockets and red zipper. Lastly she finished it off by adding the oversize white collar and the red patch (cut out the M so the yellow shows through).
The socks, shoes and wig can be purchased at any Halloween store. For the gloves I went with those cleaning gloves that are yellow and could be found anywhere. Makeup brand does not matter, but it defiantly has to be grease based. I chose to go with Mehron (clown white, red and black). I applied the red first, then the white and finished it all off with the black. Baby power works great in sealing the make-up and making it look non-greasy, just make sure to use a powder puff and touch up where necessary with black liner.
Overall I spent about $70 but it was well worth it. Big perk about this costume besides the laughs is free McDonalds! =]
