A few years ago I made this Homemade Strawberry Shortcake Costume to wear to work two Halloweens ago. At the time I managed a hair salon so getting someone to curl my hair was no problem!
I was 5 months pregnant at the time so I needed to wear something comfortable and with comfy shoes too. All the ‘sexy’ costumes were kinda out at this point.
I ordered a red wrap dress off of eBay for the base of the costume. I also purchased a white apron on eBay as well. I got red and green felt and hand sewed the triangles on the front. I bought a white colonial girl hat (I couldn’t find a pink one), and dyed it pink. I got a big bag of fabric strawberries and sewed them on the front.
For the tights I just chose red and white witch tights. I also has a purse with strawberries all over it for that day.
