Back in college no one used to dress up during school hours, but Halloween was my favorite holiday so of course I needed to dress up. It had to be absurd, it had to be over the top and it had to be eye catching, so I think to myself, “heck, cereal boxes are specifically designed to be eye catching” badda-bing-badda-boom, I had my idea of a Homemade Trix Cereal Box Costume.
I went to work and got a giant box. I had to paint multiple layers of red paint to get an even coat. With regular craft acrylic paints I did the rest based on Trix Cereal boxes. All in all it only took a couple of hours but it was a huge hit. I wore it with black leggings and a black shirt with white gloves to finish the look.
At school I had to sit in the back row at class because people couldn’t see past me. I couldn’t move my head without turning the whole box. I couldn’t eat my lunch without the help of friends because my hands couldn’t reach my mouth, but it was worth it.
