My son Josh has been into Wall-e since the movie came out. He started requesting to watch it several times a day and, as Halloween approached, we asked him what he wanted to be and surprise…WALL-E was his answer. We were not really thrilled with the costume store options so, after a little planning, this Homemade Wall-E Halloween Costume is what we came up with, hope you all like it!
Our main aim was to make a simple costume as we knew this costume would probably only be worn once. During the Wall-e construction process we did, however, come up with additional ideas to improve its look. As it turned out a bit heavy, we added some padding on the inside to make it a little more comfortable. Our son loved being involved in the process too.
Through the school parade and then trick or treating both at the mall and around the neighborhood, the costume held up great and he always blushed when someone stopped him to check out his costume. We got tons of great feedback and he was so proud that everyone loved his costume. Can’t wait to see what he wants to be next year!
I think he was the cutest Wall-e ever and the best I ever saw! He looked really cool! Go Josh! You’re the best!
Love the costume Shannah! Your family did a great job in designing and making the costume for your son Josh. He looks like he would have kept that smile on all Halloween day even without the candy!!! It’s the greatest feeling knowing that you made such a great memory for him and for years to come. P.S. I’ve been on this website before….for costume ideas for my own kids and I love it! Great job. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next year!
I really love the costume and feel it would be the best to try for our little grandson. I was so disappointed to see there were no directions or even hints or tips.
