This Homemade Walter Sobchak Costume from The Big Lebowski was a lot of fun! So this time I decided to go as Walter Sobchak from the Big Lebowski. I thought of it several months before Halloween when I was trying to figure out a costume or character that would fit my body type well. And then it hit me! WALTER SOBCHAK! I mean, am I wrong?
So we decided to skip the Hollywood hoopla this year and find something a little cheaper and a little closer to home. Off to the Canyon Club! When we showed up the parking lot was empty. Oh no! No one’s going to this party. We sat in the parking lot for 15 minutes trying to decide if we should skip town and head to H-Wood or stick our choice out. We decided to stick it out.
There were 10 people there to start. We left and got some dinner hoping something would change between now and then. And when we returned it did!
What a great night! The costume was a hit! I had the great opportunity to take lots of pics with others that wanted a picture with Walter, or as many said, “the guy from The Big Lebowski”.
