Coolest Homemade Washer Costume

I used a cardboard box for the washer. I covered it in white contact paper and cut holes in the top for the head and front for the window. I used a small white laundry basket on top, cut a hole in it and wired it to the box.

For the window, I used a silver plastic plate, glued scraps of cloth and bubble wrap onto the plate, and glued another clear plastic plate on top of the silver plate. I then inserted the window into the hole cut in front of the washer. I taped the detergent box and bleach bottle to the laundry basket.

My 5-yr-old son won 1st place in his age group at our community’s Halloween costume contest for his Washer Costume.
