Coolest Homemade Weatherwoman Costume

My mom and I made this homemade weatherwoman costume together. When we thought of it we decided that it needs to be more than just a weatherwoman so we added a few things and called her Wendy Weathers.

First, we put together the clothes. A blazer I already had, a button-up shirt, a leaf scarf, a navy blue skirt that my mom bought at Wal-Mart, tights, and Mary-Jane shoes. Then, we pinned fake leaves all over my clothes and pinned my scarf to the side. Next, my mom duct-taped a frame and drew on buttons and speakers for the TV. After that, we used a hanger, duct-tape, and cardboard to make the skirt look wind-swept.

Finally, we ratted out one side of my hair pinned fake leaves into my hair and put make-up on me. We went to a costume contest and I won 3rd place.
