This homemade Wednesday Addams costume was awesome to make. I am not a seamstress by any stretch of the imagination so I didn’t know what I was going to do. However, I went to Goodwill and found this adult stretch polyester dress, floor length with a turtle neck. I figured I could try something. I got out my glue gun (I really can’t sew) and started cutting. I took the turtleneck off and cut about 7 inches off of the bottom.
After making a glue hem, I found an old white stained polo shirt and cut the collar off. I glued the collar onto the dress, after making a cut in the back so she could slip it over her head. I took the head off of one of my daughter’s dolls and made the doll a dress. For the doll’s collar, I took an odd sock and cut the top ½ inch off. This created a collar! Add tights, granny shoes and black hairspray and we have an Addams!
