Coolest Homemade White Witch (Queen of Narnia) Wheelchair Costume

Years ago we read a suggestion in Exceptional Parent magazine to incorporate the wheelchair into the Halloween costume. We’ve had lots of fun doing just that and made this White Witch (Queen of Narnia) Wheelchair Costume!

Sarah enjoyed the Chronicles of Narnia so we decided to make her into the White Witch, complete with sleigh and driver! We cut large pieces of cardboard into sleigh shapes and covered them with silver Mylar paper. The box easily folded flat for transporting when not around the wheelchair. We attached string loops to the inside of the box for hanging the box from the wheelchair. The loops in the back were adjustable to be able to adjust the height/level of the box. A small piece of 1×1 can be used the inside edge of the box to add stability if the long side is bowing too much.

The driver was one of Sarah’s large Christmas stuffed animals. He was already white with black boots. We added a red felt hat with gold tassel and red crepe paper reins.

We made a long white satiny robe trimmed with white fur for Sarah to wear. A crown on her head a magic wand and white makeup on her face completed the look.

Unfortunately Sarah was grumpy in all the pictures we took!
