The homemade Zombie costume was made from a black tunic outfit I found at Goodwill for $6. I purchased 2 yards of thin netting material for $3, I cut a hole out in the center for my head and ripped strips up the front and back of the fabric. I found plastic chains at the discount store for $4 to drape across me.
The makeup was created by using a black eyeliner drawn over my face, neck and arms to make the veins and then applied white Halloween make up over the black veins. I used the black eyeliner to create the circles around the eyes and then red lipstick to outline the eyelids. I used fake blood to drip from the mouth.
The teeth were purchased from a Halloween store for $4. I teased my own hair and put silk leaves and plastic spiders rings in it to look like I had just crawled out of a grave.
I wore this homemade zombie costume to a neighborhood party and my closest friends didn’t know who I was. It was easy to make and the make-up took 45 minutes. The entire homemade zombie costume cost was under $25. I love making my own one of a kind original creations. That’s what I remember most about Halloween.
