Me and my friend were playing around with some chicken wire for masks for Halloween 2006 when I realized the shape I had made looked like Homer’s head. From then on, he was my target. I used papier-mâché to cover the chicken wire frame, painted it, and put on some black string for the hair. I made the clothes myself to get the best colors and sizes and filled them up with foam rubber. For the arms I used a thinner foam rubber that I coated with latex (to get a better surface for the paint) and painted yellow, likewise for the gloves for the hands.
I also made my own donuts and donut box, and re-labeled some beer bottles with the Duff logo. The costume was quite popular and I won for best costume that night.
