Coolest Jellyfish Costume

So, I got the Jellyfish costume idea originally from a Martha Stewart old lady costume, and put my own spin. All you need is an umbrella, lots of bubble wrap, some battery operated lights and voila!

I used battery operated Christmas lights with clear packing tape at the top of the umbrella (be careful taping, because you will want to be able to still close your umbrella a little, it makes it easier to get in and out of places!).

I collected green and pink and clear bubble wrap in different colors. I cut them in a swiggle line at different lengths and attached with a stapler to the plastic umbrella (covered up the staples, with a ribbon… color of your choice around the umbrella).

I also used some different color ribbons in the top, to give it more of that iridescent see-through look of a jelly. Completed it with some light up heels and that was pretty much all she wrote!

Only down fall to this great and amazing costume, was the fact that it was not very “bar” friendly… it tended to get in the way AND … the battery operated lights made the umbrella REALLY heavy :)
