I don’t know how I came up with the idea of this Kool Aid Jug Costume, but decided I must be the Kool Aid Jug!
My starting point was going to Michael’s arts and crafts to look around for supplies and start to visualize how it would all come together. From a fabric store I bought a big sheet of red fabric.
I got a wooden wreath and knitting needles and used the to pin the fabric into the wreath and create a giant cylinder. I cut out two arm holes in it. I cut the face parts out of sheets of black foam that i bought and glued them on to the front of the costume/red fabric.
I had a Styrofoam wreath that I cut in half and spray painted red for the handle of the jug; I shoved a chopstick into wreath and then tucked it into the arm hole, securing the handle in place. Then once I had tucked the fabric into my pants, I stuffed and shaped myself with polyform.
It actually ended up being pretty easy and not all that time consuming, and was very well received!
very impressive and creative!!
Very good. The Kool-Aid jug sounds like a fun costume.
