Here is what I used to make this costume:
Cotton balls – 350 (2.5 bags – 140 cotton balls in 1 bag)
White hooded jacket
1 black felt for ears (white materials for ears from jackets sleeves)
1 -8oz “Fabri-Tac” glue
Covers for shoes from sleeves leftovers
Shopping – 2h + 2.5h work
Good Luck!
I love this! It’s so sweet! I wish my kids were younger and would wear something that cute!!!
My daughet is Little Bo Peep and my son and neice and nephew are all her sheep. They look adorable!!!! Thanks for the idea!
I used your idea to make my son a lamb costume for the Christmas play, and to keep the cotton balls from getting too fluffy, I sprayed them with hairspray (a lot)! and it worked pretty well.
I suppose there is probably some craft product that is meant for this, but the hairspray worked fine.
Cotton is VERY flammable! so just make sure you are cautious
The cotton is flammable and the hairspray would make it much worse!
I was given the idea to make it by someone at “Party Boy” because they did not have a sheep costume. I am going to do this, but I am going to use the sheep headband ears. I hope that it comes out right. My grand daughter is a sheep in the Church Christmas Program. I can’t wait to see how it comes out!!
I tried making this costume for my daughter and presto!…..done deal…..very economical….I bought the sleevless jacket at a thrift store for $2.99, and the rest of the supplies I already had at home. thanks, I’m very pleased!
