Making these Mary Poppins and Bert costumes was really fun!
The skirt was made out of discount material and sheer curtain panels.
The shirt was found at a second hand store. It was then fitted and had ribbon and lace sewn onto it.
The red corset was made out of some material I had on hand.
The hat was a floppy beach hat that I cut about two inches off from the rim. I cut the top off to lower it down a bit, stiffened it with cardboard, and spray painted it. I then Modge Podged material onto the bottom of the cardboard and hot glued lace to the edge and added some flowers.
Bert’s costume was a white dinner jacket that I found cheaply on eBay. It was then taped off and hand painted.
Supercalifragilistic fun it was!!!
