My daughter uses a wheelchair so a Mermaid costumee was a perfect costume for her.
I used real shells on her top by drilling holes in them then sewing them to her top and adding glitter. The bottom is out of sequin fabric with large sequins add to the fin.
I made the wig by adding hair extensions to a headband along with strands of pearls, sequins and shells.
I also made her trick or treat basket into a fish.
Jan, your Mermaid costume is beautiful and your daughter is so pretty in it. You did a great job!

My daughter Molly is in a wheelchair also and I was trying to think of a costume that I could encorparate her chair. I am going to try to cover her chair with a sheet and net a try to make it look like she is sitting on a rock. I love your mermaid costume it was just would I was looking for to get me started. Thanks
My daughter and I like the costume very much.
How amazing! My little girl , Annabelle uses a wheelchair, and we decided on a mermaid for Halloween this year! I was just looking up images of mermaid costumes, and yours was the 1st one I clicked on not even realizing we both have wheelers! Wow. Just wonderful! Thanks for sharing :)
