Coolest Michelin Man Homemade Halloween Costume

I made this Michelin Man Homemade Halloween Costume for my friend’s mother who always wanted to be Michelin man for Halloween. It took about 9 yards of white knit fabric, 2 10lb bags of stuffing and 3 spools of thread.

I started by making two full body suits (one for the outside and one for the lining). I stitched them together and through both thicknesses in sections to create the “rolls”. I left openings in each section for stuffing. The head was made out of heavy felt shaped to fit the head and surrounded with a layer of stuffing and more white fabric.

The eyes were cut out and filled in with speaker cloth so the person wearing it could see out and no one could see in. The only thing I should have done but didn’t was put some kind of portable fan in the headpiece because it was really hot and heavy. It took me about 8 hours to make.
