My name is Lindsay and for a costume golf tournament a few years ago I decided to go as Mr. T. Being female, I felt that my biggest challenge was figuring out how I could even try to begin to mimic Mr. T’s body. I ordered a fake chest online and built the rest of my costume from that. I also bought my mohawk and facial hair online, but the rest was found at local Salivation Armies and Goodwill’s (with the exception of the dollar sign necklace- that was something I already had in my arsenal).
The finishing touches included some Maybelline foundation- a few shades darker- and I was done! Not only could you not tell I was female, but even my friends and family didn’t know who I was until I spoke! I have attached a before and after photo of this Homemade Mr. T Costume to give you the full transformation!
