Coolest Mrs. Pac-Man Costume

I made this Mrs. Pac-Man costume the year I wanted a family friendly, yet fun costume to wear to both a kids’ Halloween party and my friend’s adult party. I thought about what my favorite things from my childhood were and looked online for inspiration. I found many Pac-Man costumes, but thought it would be fun to incorporate the game.

As I have done in previous costumes, I used a 1/4 inch display board and cut it into a circle, covered it in yellow/black felt and made the Mrs. Pac-Man face/body.

I used more felt for the ghosts, Clyde, Inky, Red, and Sue and of course the googly eyes.

For the pellets, I used foam board and cut out circles and then painted on glow in the dark glue.

I used Velcro tabs on all the pieces to make them removable for driving.

On the back of the shirt, I used stick on letters for the GAME OVER  and added the kissing Pac-Man for a little surprise.

Add a big red bow, cherry earrings, red chucks and lipstick and there you have Mrs. Pacman costume.

The reaction was awesome. Everyone of all ages loves Mrs. Pac-Man and I was hit at both parties.

I didn’t enter any contest the year that I wore it, but I lent it to a friend and she won 1st place in her office.
