How did you make the Mulan costume? I was hoping to be her for Halloween, but I don’t want to spend a TON of money for the costume. If you could give me a how-to that would be awesome! Thanks! :D
I agree… I really wanted to be Mulan for Halloween, but couldn’t find a good costume. (Have you SEEN Disney’s?? Ridiculous!) How did you guys make them?
I just basically went to Walmart found the appropriate fabric color needed, then made layers. Instead of sewing a full dress/costume, I did the different layers accordingly to how it looked in the cartoon.
As for Shang’s chest and shoulder plate, those were made from cardboard paper (it wasn’t very mobile, but it looked okay). The wrist plate and extra little details were made from felt paper.
That’s pretty much it. A whole lot of cloths and fabric and constructing in parts. Good luck!
