This is my husband, Shawn, as Oogie Boogie from the Nightmare Before Christmas. I made it out of burlap and yarn, along with some wire. When I first put the mask on him, it looked so bad that I almost gave up. The lesson that I learned – was that you should never give up because you’ll have no idea about how the end result will turn out. I am so glad that I worked his costume until I was happy with it because it turned out to be a great success. We just got back from Downtown Disney, where we walked around to take photos with kids and brighten their night. (Well, the ones who weren’t scared or crying at the sight of my Boogie Man.)
Thanks for checking out the Homemade Oogie Boogie Costume, and we hope that everyone had an awesome Halloween this year!
