I made this Oompa Loompa costume for my girls this year using a combination of tips found on this site. The pants were purchased at the thrift store in women’s size 24.
I then sewed the legs and waist to a smaller size, leaving the hips large like the Oompa Loompas. I bought white material at the store and sewed 2 strips together to make the suspenders and sewed it to the pants.
The shirt is just brown turtleneck and I used 1/4 inch medical tape to make the stripes. Same with the socks. We made brown pom poms out of yarn for the shoes. Their faces are covered using really dark foundation and white paint for the eyebrows.
The hair is a blond “Marilyn Monroe” wig sprayed green. They were adorable if I do say so myself!
Love the costumes!
i wish my mom could make a costume like that! GIMME!
