Coolest Ooompa Loompa DIY Halloween Costume

Last year everyone at my office came up with amazing homemade costumes. Kate (from Kate plus 8), Richard Simmons, and even a sumo wrestler, so this year I knew I had to bring it. I decided to make an Ooompa Loompa DIY Halloween Costume.

I went to the local second hand store and purchased a pair of Nike White athletic pants(2.00) , a brown turtle neck shirt (3.50), brown socks (1.00), two of the biggest black buttons I could find (2.00) and a green clown wig (4.00). I also bought brown and white yarn (5.00) from Wal-mart in order to make the pom-poms on the shoes.

When I got home I painted stripes on the neck and cuffs of the shirt and stripes down the socks. I put the socks over some canned veggies because once the paint dries it is will not stretch any more. Then I sewed some ribbon to make the suspenders. I purchased some cheap dollar store foundation and a face painting kit (2.00 @ dollar store) to do the makeup.

Result, a fantastic costume that everyone laughed at all day.
