I was a big fan of Transformers as a kid. One day I saw several boxes in my garage and decided that I could use them to make a Transformers costume.
I took seven of the boxes and cut them into the various shape, using an Optimus Prime picture as a guide. I used duct tape to secure them together. I spray painted it with red, white, and blue colors. I used yellow marker for the belt, and made a stencil of the Transformers Icon and spray painted it on the shoulder of the costume.
Everybody loved it. Everybody wanted to take pictures with me, and I felt like a celebrity. I didn’t even know the people in the picture!
The total costume took about 3 days (several hours a day) to make.
Total Cost: $20
Hi Ben!
I still love this costume. I look forward to see what your mind creates this Halloween 2008. I shared this pic with my students and they got a kick out of it. They thought it was too cool! Love ya. Catch ya later.
