Our house had recently burned and we were in the process of redoing everything so we didn’t have any extra money. This was a box from our remodeling and a few building materials. My big idea was to make our son an outhouse for Halloween so I gave my idea to my husband and we created this costume. Not a lot to making it.
You just need a big box, some paint, cotton batting and some stockings for legs, an old pair of joggers and a pair of shoes. We made straps to go over his shoulders and then he put on his jacket to cover them up. Simply cut out the door on the front, put a string through it for the handle. Cut out a half moon in the door for effect. Paint the top of the box black then paint the outside of the box to make it look like old boards.
