I wanted something with tons and tons of feathers. While I was at the thrift store one day, I found a shell for a bird costume. I went to Hobby Lobby and added 3 multi colored boa feathers all over the head, body, and a longer tail.
A pair of babylegs completed the look. All told, I spent about $16 on this homemade parrot bird costume design.

How did you sew on/attach the feathers to the costume? This is really beautiful!
I just tacked them down with my sewing machine– I started at the top and then worked my way securing it as I went down.
