My Homemade Pathfinder Viking Costume was inspired by the movie pathfinder. The vikings’ presence in this movie invoked pure fear. I created every part of this costume by hand over the past couple months. Almost all the fur and leather came from regular clothing purchased from second hand stores. All of the armor started as second hand sports equipment. The chain mail is actually crocheted yarn painted multiple times. Every inch of the outfit has been put together with great attention to detail and is made to look battle worn. It may be very hard to notice all the layers of clothing and armor.
I have many more pictures available. I think my favorite parts of the costume are the real bear head on the shoulder and the giant horns.
