Homemade Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox Couple Costume. Everything home made, easy and creative with just a few trips to Hobby Lobby. The best way to go about Babe is to find things for a cow costume and to paint them blue with acrylic paint.

Paul’s clothes were all found at an Antique store and were relatively inexpensive. The giant axe is made of cardboard and foam-board, glued together and spray painted with metallic and brown for effect. The best thing about this costume is that it is easily recognizable; you don’t have people coming up to you the whole night asking what you are dressed up as.

Also a key essential for Paul is the dark beard/scruff. Even for lighter haired men a little black marker will be efficient and will also come off easily in the morning believe it or not. It does help if you can grow your own facial hair out for a week or so before hand.
