My daughter was a Peacock for Halloween. I purchased peacock feathers by bulk online and then cut them down to size and then glued them to a child sized small backpack (I cut the outside of the backpack off and used the part that included the shoulder straps), then I attacheed a piece of cardboard to give it some stiffness to glue and hold the feathers. I covered the feather steams with a piece of teal sparkly fabric . Then on the back side I hot glued a hand held feather fan (also purchased online).
She got so many compliments on her Homemade Peacock Costume. I searched for a peacock costume for my daughter but nothing I found had actual peacock feathers so I decided to make my own and this is what I came up with. Enjoy!
