After convincing my kids about my homemade Popeye and Olive Oyl child couple costume idea (had to watch some YouTube Popeye cartoons), we went to work. For Popeye, I modified a black t-shirt and pajama pants to fit, added a felt collar and buttons, sailor hat and corn cob pipe. Squinted eye was naturally provided by my son.

Olive Oyl was a black skirt from Goodwill with a yellow ribbon hot glued to the bottom. Black wig pulled into a bun. And white felt collar added to a red shirt from the closet. Work boots with high white socks. Cute kick and smile was naturally provided by my daughter.
