Coolest Popular Pop Cans Costume

My friends and I were trying to think of group costume ideas for our high school Halloween dance, and we were drinking pop, and someone said , “HEY! let’s be pop cans!” And we did it! We made a popular pop cans costume.

We picked our flavors, our fabric colors, and painted on our logos with fabric paint! They turned out awesome, and were a huge hit at the dance. Everyone wanted to borrow them for next Halloween!

  3. Hey! Thanks guys!

One of our friends (D.Coke) is an amazing artist and made and outline of the prints on tracing paper, and we just copied them all onto our fabric, then painted them with fabric paint and made them into tube dresses that fit us.

  4. I Just finished making the Coca-Cola Classic one for my 12 yr old daughter. It was very easy to do. No pattern needed. Just make a tube dress. To do the logo I photo copied the logo onto a transparency and then copied onto tag paper. I cut it out and traced it onto the fabric using a paint pen. Then I painted it in. It took about 3 coats but was super easy and fast. I added silver trim on the top and bottom to resemble a can and added silver straps to meet the school dress code. Good Luck!

  6. How did you make the dress itself? did you purchase plain dresses and decorate them, or did you make them, or what? If you did make them, could you give a basic step-by-step? Thanks :)

  10. Its really easy to make the pop cans. Find a dress strapless or with straps that is the color of the pop can you want to make. Don’t spend a lot of money on a dress if you don’t already have one. Once you have your dress you can either paint or draw with permanent marker the label onto your dress. This will make you look so cool in so little time. You may be able to sew the label on if you know someone that is really good at sewing. Whatever way you do it, it looks amazing when you are done. I personally would go with a group of friends and not just by yourself, it makes look so much cooler the more people you have. Anyway, have fun making your pop cans. If you make them make sure you comment on them here so we can all read how yours turned our. Hope to read your comments soon! C YA!

And what paint did you use? and what did you use for the logo- it’s perfect! and what should i put underneath- its going to be cold! I really would like a step by step (including materials) instructions how to make them!

  26. Hey guys! I know you probably don’t even look at this any more… but I NEED HELP! My friends and I understand the logos… but what materials did you use? also, my school has a dress code- 2/3 fingers for the top and mid-thigh for the bottoms… also- Halloween is cold, so we need to keep warm, any suggestions? Anyone can answer… would REALLY appreciate if the makers replied too! :)

  27. It is very clear to me how they made these costumes.
    1. What they did is they went and bought 6 different towels (for the shower or beach)
    2. and what they did is use a sewing machine to make the towels into a cylander shape so they could where it.
    3. They then took the top and folded it down about 1″ as if making a drawstring bag.
    4. After, they pinned the fold and sewed it down using a sewing machine.
    5. Lastly, using a long shoelace(s) or ribbon they threaded it into the space between they little flap they sewed down and the front of the dress (costume).
    6. Then they put on the dress towel costume soda can thingy and tied it (using the string) to make it tighter or looser depending on their size.

    How we made the costumes…

  43. I just finished making my costume, me and my friends are going to be the three crush sodas. For the dress, we went to a local fabric store and bought felt that would fit around us as a tube dress. My mom then cut the fabric to fit us. I drew the new crush logo on a piece of poster board and cut it out. I then traced the outlined of the logo with a piece of tailor’s chalk, and filled the rest in freehand. We used fabric paint to paint the designs on, and then we made them into dresses by putting velcro in the back and sewing clear plastic straps onto the top.
