Coolest Robbie and Baby Sinclair from Dinosaurs Costume

I’ve always been a fan of the show Dinosaurs, so I decided to give it a shot.

Robbie’s dinosaur beak is originally a dragon mouth piece which was purchased online and cut to fit around my mouth. His red varsity jacket was found at a thrift store along with the green shower cap.

I couldn’t find a green dinosaur bodysuit, so I ended up purchasing and adjusting a Sleestack Land of the Lost costume. The Sleestack costume doesn’t come with a tail, so I chopped up and dyed the pointy feet to make my mohawk which was crazy glued to my shower cap.

The extra fabric was used to make the tail and with some red chucks, a blue & white stripe shirt and an old Baby Sinclair hand puppet my Robbie and Baby Sinclair from Dinosaurs Costume was complete. Never seen this costume attempted, hope you enjoy! = ) HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

  1. I’ve never seen anyone do this character costume even at the anime conventions I go to where almost anyone can go as whatever they want! :O And this was one of my favorite shows when I was still almost just a baby! :) Robbie was one of my favorite characters, too! In fact, I still love him AND the show. Its the only regular dinosaur themed TV show that my mom didn’t force me off of when I was six years old. lol I’ve got seasons 1 and 2 on DVD and everytime I watch it, I feel like I’m a little girl again. :’) Anyway, great job on the costume! I considered doing something like this to the next anime con here in town and still am, but I was going to do it more like an anthro-suit. :) Like, using a fursuit base and covering it with scale-like material instead of fur. :) And I was going to commission a fursuit maker for the head so when its done, it looks almost just like the original Jim Henson company character costume. :)

  2. Love this costume. How did you come about finding the mouth piece online? I would like to try my hand at recreating it.
