I was inspired by Tina Fey to be Sarah Palin in 2008 and it was a blast! I walked around the whole night saying things like “I can see Russia from my house!” and reciting all of Sarah’s children’s names. I’m told I do an excellent Palin imitation and this Sarah Palin Costume Idea was so much fun! Sadly I was without a Todd Palin but I did find a McCain that night!
The suit was from Goodwill and I bought the glasses at Walgreens. I enlarged a a picture of a flag pin found online and printed it on my color printer. I’m glad Sarah is still around do I can get some more uses out of that costume.

I’ve gone as Sarah Palin too. I added a gold ribboned “Miss Wasila” sash, a toy rifle for moose hunting,and big snow boots for the Alaskan winter. I wore it in Virginia, where all my republican neighbors wanted a picture with “the sexy governor”…crazy.
