Our Scooby Doo and the Gang costumes are all custom and original. For Fred we used an old white long sleeve t-shirt, blue pants (altered to fit) that I found at a yard sale, and an orange sash.
For Daphne we used a larger size t-shirt and cut it to add in the lighter purple. Added a green scarf and she was done! For Velma, I found the orange turtle neck at the thrift store and could not find orange knee highs. So I bought a pair of white ones and dyed them orange to match the turtle neck. I made my skirt from scratch.
For Shaggy, I found a larger sized t-shirt (thrifted) and slimmed it down to fit my son, leaving it long like Shaggy. The pants were the same way, I found old stretch pants and took a pair of his pants to match up and cut out pieces to sew together. A little eye liner for the wiskers and we’re done.
For Scooby Doo, I found a pattern of a dog and modified to to be Scooby, adding felt for the spots. I created the dog tag with felt as well and attached Velcro to hold it on.
