This year, I wanted to dress up like a Disney princess since I was planning to go to Disneyland’s Mickey’s Halloween Party. I was looking through my closet and I found a dress from 8th grade (I’m now a senior in college) that I haven’t touched since then. The shade was PERFECT for a Sleeping Beauty dress! I had no pattern, and winged everything.
Because I only had a week to make the Sleeping Beauty Costume (plus school on top of that), glue gun and safety pins were my best friends. I worked on the costume about 9PM-midnight for about 5 days; 9PM to 3AM the day before the party. I think it turned out quite well! I used cotton for the arm sleeves and the light pink thing over the main dress, stiff fabric and white cotton over it for the “wings” (the white things), more stiff fabric and gold shiny fabric for the crown and necklace.
