Coolest Spongebob Squarepants in a Motorboat Wheelchair Costume

My son loves Spongebob Squarepants, so he chose Spongebob Squarepants in a motorboat wheelchair costume for his Halloween costume.  To accommodate his wheelchair, we decided to have Spongebob sit in his motorboat.  The Spongebob costume we purchased at a local Target.  We used two large sheets of cardboard from a refrigerator cardboard box, stretched it around the chair in the front to make a “bow” and hot glued it.

In the back we added a short piece of cardboard to look like the back end of Spongebob’s boat.  We painted a license plate on the back end and added a spray painted black coffee can to look like a motor.  Using a portion of the cardboard we cut an angled windshield and attached it to the front of the cardboard.  We painted the bottom of the boat red (like Spongebob’s practice boat), white, with a black stripe, and attached a cardboard steering wheel. The front of our Spongebob was “ready!”
