This is a completely Homemade Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Costume. My boyfriend’s favorite movie growing up was Ghostbusters and he looked high and low to find a good costume and it didnt exist so he decided to make his own. The Best you will find.
The head is made out of chicken wire which was then paper mached twice. After drying for the 2nd time the head was painted white and eyes were drawn and holes were cut out to see. The eyebrows and cheeks were made with chalk. The mouth was drawn, cut out and covered with speaker cloth so it was breathable. The Stay Puft hat rim is made out of cardboard. The rest is an old t-shirt stuffed with plastic bags.
The pants and shirt, both XXL to XXXL, were found at the Goodwill. The belly was a trash bag wrapped around the neck and stuffed with tissue paper. The arms and legs were both filled with bubble wrap and tissue paper taped together. To give a marshmallow appearance rubberbands were used. The bib and scarf were both made from access fabric.
The costume cost less than $25.
