Awesome Homemade Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Costumes

I made these Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Costumes from green body paint for the top of the body and face.

The vest top was green (we had white and green tops because ours were for a pub crawl and we had to wear the tops as our ticket), you could also buy green material to a make a top, in case you cant find the right green. The pants were green and we wore dard green school tights.

Colour material to suit your turtle cut for our arms, legs and mask. We also cut material for a belt.

We cut a circular piece of cardboard out and wrote the initial of the turtle. We threaded the material through for a belt.

The shell was made out of two half cardboard flower baskets you put on the wall. First we pierced 2 holes into them and inserted thread through them. Tie them in a knot. We paper macheed the two together and then drew the shape of the shell with marker on and dabbed them with green and brown paint. To put them on we then tied the strings together around our arms.

We bought the weapons from Toys R Us – they were the most expensive thing.
