My friend & I wanted to do a duo costume this year. So I researched Homemade Thing 1 and Thing 2 Costume ideas on google images. Out of the very few I saw, Thing 1 and Thing 2 stuck with me. As soon as I told my friend the idea, she instantly came up with a customized costume!
Since we pulled all of this together less than 1 week on top of our limited free time in our lives, I think our look came out beautifully! We live in St. Louis area, this is where we got our items:
– spandex red tank top (Gordmans about $7)
– red too-too (Spirit Halloween about $25)
– red stockings (Express: on sale $10)
– white high heels (we pulled form our closets)
– red nail polish with sparkles
– blue katy perry wig (Party city $20)
Tip: if a wig, always get a net cap to fit hair into wig
– blue fake eyelashes (walmart $3)
Tip: make sure you have glue to put them on
– red, white & blur face paint (walmart $2)
Tip: we did red cheeks & red nose, & white eyelids
– red lipstick (pulled from our makeup bags)
– sparkles (Hot topic: found it in make up bag)
Tip: we put sparkles on top of white paint on eyes
– white foam material, black sparkly letters & pipe cleaners
(Michael’s craft store)
Tip: we cut small plate size circles in foam, super glued the letters in circle, cut & made numbers out of pipe cleaners & super glued onto circle, then safety pinned them onto red tank tops for the Thing 1 & Thing 2 look.
