To spend Halloween at Disneyworld this year, I needed costumes that were easy to pack. I found the Triple Dip costume pattern on Better Homes & Gardens Magazine’s website. I used T-shirt knit for the scoops, 100% cotton for the sugar cone skirt and syrups, white satin ribbon for the whipped cream and sequined fabric for the cherry.
Not having a pattern for the Milkshake costume, I used flexible tubing from Lowe’s to shape the rim and base of the cup inside white knit and brown flannel for the chocolate. I used dark brown yarn as chocolate syrup and a wrapping paper tube with red paper for the straw.
I attached the words “Mickey’s Milkshake” along with Mickey ears to complete the project. Aside from the many compliments and photos taken by strangers, the best part of the night was when Tigger tried to drink out of my son’s straw while Pooh pretended to eat my daughter’s ice cream cone. These Triple Dip Ice Cream Cone and Milkshake Costumes were a big hit!

This is very, very creative! They look GREAT! It’s hard to find costumes now days that isn’t centered around zombies/devils or horror movie characters. Thank you for making Halloween costumes lid friendly & not scary.
