My daughter wanted to be something scary this year, (she usually goes for cute) so I was thrilled to take on the challenge. I love doing optical illusion costumes. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do but when I spotted this dress for $12 in a thrift store, I knew I instantly knew what I could do with it. To make matters better, the neckline in the dress was perfect. Stuffing the arms with a pair of panty hose worked perfectly and completed the look.
As mentioned above we used an old dress from a thrift store, panty hose stuffed for the arms. We used foam board to support the back. An old food container covered with felt to make the neck. Some duct tape and plastic ties to hold it all together. It really came together much better then I thought I could pull it off!
