To make the caveman costume, I grabbed some animal print and fur remnants at a fabric store and picked up a “Wayne’s World” mullet wig on sale at a Halloween store. I used a brown t-shirt and a pair of sweatpants and sewed the animal print and fur onto the clothing. My son made a “bone” necklace out of salt dough and we cleaned some turkey bones from dinner to hook onto his belt. He made a club out of a grocery sack and tape.
A little face paint and some brown flip flops and we were ready to go! It was fun that my son could be a part of making the costume.
