I sewed this scarecrow costume. It is in 4 pieces. There are the pants, shirt, hat and the head piece to make it look like an actual scarecrow. The twine around his waist is just wrapped around and tied so it can be easily removed. The pants have elastic, the shirt has a zipper in the back and the head piece has elastic so that its not too snug and so that everything removes easily.
