Firstly, I would like to apologize for my English writing skill. English is my 2nd language. So, I will try my best to describe how I made my younger son’s Halloween costumes, a porcupine. My younger son is 1. Since he doesn’t have any idea about what he wants to be for Halloween yet, so I made him a cutest porcupine ever.
I spend about 2 nights to make my son’s Porcupine costume. 1st, I bought a simple monkey suit, which I bought from Target about $15. Since the suit is very flat, I cut the inside liner open and stuffed it with fiberfill and sewed it up. Then, I cut lots of circle shapes using black felt. And cut the circle felt in half, so I could make it into a cone shape for my porcupine’s spine. I also stuffed the cone spine with fiberfill and sew it up onto the back of my now porcupine suit. By using the felt material as my porcupine’s spine, so it is soft and not going to hurt my son. Last, I sewed some jingle bells around the neck of the porcupine suit. So my little porcupine rocks when he walks.
I personally think he is the most adorable porcupine ever, since it’s so chubby and homemade with love from his mommy.
