Female Version of Art the Clown Terrifier Costume

I usually start thinking about costume ideas mid-June regardless of whether there will even be a reason to wear it. I’m not sure how I landed on Art the Clown, but I decided a month before Halloween and enlisted the help of my lovely neighbor to re-teach me how to use the sewing machine.

I started off with two identical black and white dresses, disassembled them and then came up with new things to add as I got more confident with my machine skills. In retrospect, I could’ve started from scratch-scratch, but I’m very happy with how it turned out.

It really all hinged on how well I could execute the makeup. Took some product trial and error, but I found some great theatre makeup.

It was a great opportunity to learn from someone who has so much sewing knowledge to share!
