We do a group costume every year and in 2010 we went as a Fun Artist and Paintings Group Halloween Costume and his collection of “copied” paintings.
Each person painted their own picture. We bought thrift store pictures or regular canvas frames and just painted over them with craft paint. We cut out holes for our faces and it was done! Underneath we dressed in all black and painted our faces to fit into our scene and/or wore wigs to make the 3D. Our Artist bought a painters jacket and simply splattered it.
It was a huge hit! If the painting was light enough and tight enough it could be worn without holding onto it…larger ones like mine (the poker dogs) had to have handle screwed into the back. Side note: the larger, the more difficult to navigate hallways…fyi.
One of our favorites to date!
Awesome idea!
