The idea for this costume came to me while watching Blind Melon’s “No Rain” music video. I owned a pair of tap shoes and went from there.
The tap dancing bee girl costume is completly home made. Having never sewn anything, this was quite a challange. But, after a few late nights, I think it turned out well.
Two of my friends decided to get in on the action and dressed as my “bee people” (the people that the tap dancing bee girl meets at the end of the video). We call wore our costumes for the Ciritcal Mass Halloween Bike Ride in downtown Chicago, then went to party hopping. Everyone loved our costumes and said that they had never seen it done before.
