I’ve always loved Marvin the Martian from Loony Toons and wanted to give it a try. For the base outfit I wore white shoes, red tight pants, red corset, red long gloves with cartoon white gloves on top. The skirt is a yellow tutu with green felt cutout sewn on top. The head is made with a 13″ ferret ball which I cut the eyes out, covered ball with black felt and added white tulle covered wire mesh for the eyes. The helmet is made of foam cut to look like helmet then covered in green felt and lined with gold yellow felt then hot glued in place, the brush on helmet is made with two pepsi bottle caps covered in black fabric, foam covered in black on bottom and gold yellow felt on top. Then I drew lines to make it look like a real brush.
Everyone loved my costume, people wanted pictures and wanted to try it on. People kept asking where I got my costume and couldn’t believe I made it myself. I loved my costume this year!
