People were always telling me that my baby looked like the “Gerber Baby”. He was very smiley with big blue eyes and a chubby little face.
When we were making a decision about his first Halloween costume, it just seemed perfect for him as a Halloween costume idea to make him into the Gerber Baby.
We used a toddler “pumpkin” costume pattern for the suit, putting a baby blue cloth strip for the classic Gerber label around the middle. I sketched the Gerber baby picture to put on there, but you could enlarge a copy from a label.
I made the “lid” from lightweight poster board that was sprayed with silver metallic paint and blue letters glued on. He wore a white hooded sweat suit and never even knew the lid was on his head. This is a very cute Halloween costume idea!
