Headless Zombie Bride Costume

My daughter Madison wanted to enter a Halloween parade in Rehobeth Beach, Delaware.  She decided on a headless bride and we Googled it up for Halloween with zombie painting.  I found a 70’s style wedding dress ($20.00) and with newspaper (arms), Styrofoam (neck), wooden dowel (spine), Elmer’s glue (blood) and duct tape, we came up with her costume that was comfortable so she could walk a long distance without stopping.

The glue was poured down the neck for the dripping look and once dried we painted it blood red.  The wooden dowel was the spine poking out of her Styrofoam neck stump.  She won a best costume trophy and she thought she was a movie star because people would stop her and asked to take a picture of her costume.  Worth the time and effort.  Priceless!
